Image-laden search comes to Apple's tablet
Microsoft is chasing a piece of the iPad action, launching a version of its Bing search engine for Apple's tablet. It's free to download, of course.
According to TechRadar, it's a 'visual-conscious search engine' which adapts well to the larger screen (compared to the iPhone version). Indeed, the app is much the same as the iPhone version, with the Bing search bar ever-present at the top of the app and if you can't be bothered typing, you can use voice commands instead.
Features? Well, it's a search engine, so essentially it does just that. But on top of searching the internet and searching images on the net, use you can also use the touchscreen to scroll through touch-enabled listings - news, local business results and trending topics for example. There's even map integration to get you to your choice of location quickly and some useful 'real-time' traffic information. Although, if you are accessing an iPad whilst driving on the motorway. Well...that's probably not the best thing to do.
