TV on your iPad? You can enjoy pretty much what you have at home anywhere in the world, thanks to the launch of Sling Player Mobile for iPad.
SlingPlayer Mobile software for iPad allows Slingbox to extend your living room TV experience: 'A Slingbox is the perfect accessory to an iPad,' said John M. Paul, executive vice president of products at Sling Media. 'When combined with the new SlingPlayer Mobile app, now anyone with an iPad can enjoy a beautiful, personalised TV experience anywhere in the world.'
When connected to a Slingbox Solo or Pro-HD, the SlingPlayer Mobile software allows you to change channels, control their digital recorders and watch your favourite shows anywhere you have an internet connection. That could be on the morning commute if it has Wi-Fi installed. All geared to the iPad screen's size and resolution too.
Not free though. You'll need the Slingbox kit for a start, as well as the app, which retails for an additional £17.99. But if you work away a lot and the hotels have Wi-Fi, it's a small price to pay.
